Jeanmarie Livi - Seasoned Educator in Special Education and Advocacy

Jeanmarie Livi is an educator with extensive experience in early childhood and special education. Over her career, she has taken on roles as a teacher and school director and is an advocate for inclusive learning environments. Jeanmarie Livi focuses on supporting children with diverse needs across elementary and secondary education settings.

Ms. Livi began her teaching career in the Madison (Wisconsin) Metropolitan School District as a special education teacher at Van Hise Elementary School. She later worked in the Longwood Central School District in Middle Island, New York, as an elementary and junior high school special education teacher. She transitioned to early childhood education at St. Faith Preschool and Kindergarten in Havertown, Pennsylvania, where she teaches 4-year-old children. She also previously served as director of the school for 12 years. As director (from 2003 to 2015), she oversaw the school’s operations, including curriculum development, supervising of staff, budget and financial disbursement, parent-teacher relations, and building and grounds maintenance.

Ms. Livi earned a bachelor of science in speech pathology from Douglass College - Rutgers University and a master of science in special education / behavioral disabilities from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. During her graduate studies, she co-authored papers on teaching strategies, training and skill transfer for students with severe learning disabilities. She remains engaged in her community and continues to explore effective teaching strategies to improve educational outcomes for children.
